Charity is a Pure Love of Christ

Almost a year ago, I got into the habit of writing in my journal. I always heard the influential stories about how journals made them a better person by looking back at what they wrote down whether they were spiritual, happy, sad, or inspirational. So, sitting there and listening to their spiritual moments, I wanted that same feeling. The feeling of the spirit, too much of the spirit is felt that you need to write it down. In order for me to have that, I needed to act upon it. When you desire spiritual knowledge, you need to act upon it to nourish your garden of faith.
For our LDS Young Women's girls camp, our camp coordinator had given us plain journals bought from the stores. I was a Youth Camp Leader and my fellow YCL's took the color purple. Our theme for camp were "Two Feet on the Boat" referring to the talk given by Thomas S. Monson. So we had a bunch of sailor decorations and paper based on the theme to Mod Podge on to the covers of our journals. After the creation and magical happenings for this journal to look like my journal, we were challenged to write in them and keep a record of the things huge in our lives. As the months passed I dared not bother to write in that thing. Than came January 1st, 2018 where I vowed to write the big happenings and the smallest occurrences in my life so that one day I am able to look back at it.
That one day, was a day like today. I have been struggling inside with thinking about what other people think about me, or thinking about the feelings people think of me negatively. It was a night like tonight where I decided to look in my journal. Let me just inform, yes... I cried, and am emotionally in tears writing this. As  a teenager there are road blocks, but you always have a map to help you and ways to instruct you to go over them and achieve to your greatest abilities. I began to loose gratitude and be ashamed that I do not look skinny, or have healthy arm skin. I began to be ashamed that I was FAT, curly haired, and that I did not have that high quality brand clothing everyone had. I was lost in the phase of being ashamed of myself and began to be ungrateful, so I turned to my journal to read my spiritual moments and one day in particular stood out to me. I wrote:

"Saturday January 3. 2018

Gratitude as an Attitude

I have been thinking lately and I had some troubling times this week and I do not understand why, but I can barely write essays now and it is killing me tenderly. Today, I got up and organized my room besides the fact I have loads of laundry left to do, ya lazy Ali! Please do not procrastinate when you live on your own, I will be disappointed in you future me. I sat on my bed and looked through a couple e-mails and magically appeared on Youtube. I watched a couple of youtube videos of females around the world who do not have enough money or do not have the feminine hygiene products they need. They do not have the things I am able to get, so they miss out of school for about 60 days because they have to stay home. I learned that some girls are even ashamed to use the public restrooms in fear that they will be picked on. It is heartbreaking to know that the miss out on an education many people desire because they are going through growth and female problems that they cannot control. With this I want to set a goal to help those more often in need. Whether its providing feminine hygiene or a simple sit down and hang out. I want to be more Christ-like and be more charitable to those I love and those I see are struggling..."

After I read this, I looked back as if I was able to accomplish something good this past month. Thinking of the goodness and positive doings, made me lift up my Spirit. Including people when I was in Seattle on a choir trip, shooting gratitude messages to those I love, and cherishing moments, also.. giving out the best hugs. One of my favorite moments was this past couple days, we as youth in Seminary (Mormon bible class in the morning from 6 a.m to 6:50 a.m) were challenged by our missionaries to write our testimonies about the Book of Mormon on the first page and give it to someone we think should have it. I gave mine to a friend who I have recently met, and knew it would make a huge impact on her. She enjoys it and is actually already a member but rarely understands how to release herself out of bondage from temptations. A simple act like that makes a greater impact on someone.
From all of this, I was able to be appreciative of who I am, what I have, the family I have inside of school and out. I began to appreciate the talents I have and the the fact that I can give back to my community. Most importantly, I am very grateful for the gospel and the light is has shown in my life. I am grateful for religious people in my life who have lifted me up through the spirit and has a strong testimony in Christ, I know that we can make a difference and be more Christ like if we just smile and  show someone that they are loved.

Love,
Aliana Fisi

Challenge: Start a journal... start it now. Okurrt.

P.S I will try my absolute best to continue this weekly post! School is getting to me, and finals are creeping its way up!

Blessings leads to Blessings

With everything being all crazy busy for the holidays, I never really realized that it wasn't busy like rushing around or what not, it was more like busy having the greatest times of my life. Reading my scriptures, singing primary songs with the little kids, or even talking about the great memories that have happened.

I spend most of my days with my family. Mainly the babies than the older kids. The babies bring a lot of joy in my opinion. The way they learn and then act upon it. They have such a bright soul, I've spent most of my life with having little ones around. I watched them grow to be teens and be such a valiant young woman to the Lord. My oldest niece and I are two years apart, we have done mostly everything together. Being older and being able to experience things and than share it towards her is like being able to let her know what to avoid and what not to. It is her first year in high school, and her first year in seminary. She was feeling a little worried, but I made it clear to her that there is surely nothing to be worried about. I could not share my experience about seminary towards her because my freshman year, I went to seminary for like two months, and then I stopped. I just didn't have the courage nor the mindset to go and I was very furious about loosing my sleep. I was not able to meet the requirements listed for that year. Sophomore year rolled in and I had a mind set to go to Seminary and meet the requirements that year and try to make-up for my freshman year. The thing was, I didn't try like I said I would. I set a goal, but I just did not know how to achieve that goal. When I was entering my Junior year, I made sure I knew what I wanted. I made sure I knew what I really wanted to achieve and I made sure I attended seminary. Attending seminary daily, almost daily I learned that I am lucky to be able to attend Seminary before I go to school. School is filled with worldly temptations, and I want to avoid that, so when I go to Seminary, I am able to feel the spirit and carry that feeling throughout the day.
With the great blessing of attending seminary this year, the requirement is to read the Book of Mormon. The first reaction I had was, oh no. I have always tried to read the Book of Mormon and never seemed to pass 1 Nephi 3. I just stopped and never went back, but I made a goal and I needed to achieve it. I did, I read the Book of Mormon and got so enriched I started reading more than a chapter a day. Half of it was mainly because I finished my personal progress value projects but I needed to finish the Book of Mormon. So it was both a challenge for me I needed to achieve, so I did. I read a chapter for Seminary and three chapters for Personal Progress and write in my spiritual journal. Long story short, I finished my personal progress and received my medallion. Back to seminary, I am still reading in Alma, the longest book in the Book of Mormon. I am carefully reading it to clearly make sure I understand it.
My point with blessings leading to blessings is, my two best friends have been the greatest example in my life, along with my loving parents. My two best friends received their medallions together and they finished their personal progress together. I attended their recognition later that Sunday night, and was inspired to finish mine before the new year rang, so I set my mind to it and finally finished. The blessings of having people like that to set examples for you is amazing. I never take these for granted, I appreciate it more and more as my life gets blessed with much of these impacts. Look back on the blessings in life, see how it has made you the person you are today.
Love, Aliana

                                            A Bite of the Scriptures

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I personally have been going to church every Sunday and thought that was all I needed to do to feel the spirit, grow my testimony, and receive blessings, but that was only one of the many.

Instead, I was not getting many blessings nor growing knowledge of the scriptures because I lacked in going to Seminary and one of the curriculum is to read the scriptures and mark what you have read and daily readings. I lacked in doing so, I know now that I was lacking in school, due to lacking in not only seminary but the scriptures. I tried to go to seminary, but I was not trying hard enough. There was always an excuse that emerged into my head so I wouldn't go, that was bad!

Looking back into those days, I should have went to Seminary. I should have read my scriptures and done more to make sure that I had enough credits for that awarding certificate.

Now, let me tell you a moment I recently had with the Book of Mormon that has changed my life and will continue to change my life. I was sitting in my room just doing daily homework and listening to radio. I changed the channel to Christian radio, due to the music nowadays that talk about uncomfortable topics that do not fit my standards. I listened to how amazing and loving it sounded and decided to listen to some Hymn music from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, they are amazing and just the second they sang, I'll go where you want me to go, I felt the prompting to do what the Lord would want me to do, go, read, say and hear. I immediately knew, the Holy Ghost that I was confirmed and given when I was eight, told me to pick up my scriptures and read. I went for the search of my scriptures probably covered in dust. I found it and opened it reading 1 Nephi chapter 1, than 2, than 3, etc. I could not help but continue as my eyes were covered in tears of happiness and pure joy. The hardship Lehi has done to warn the people of Jerusalem to leave and repent, for Jerusalem will be destroyed because of the wickedness that lurked through every seep. They dare not listen to him and only mocked them. I felt so overwhelmed and grateful that Lehi and Nephi were so righteous and listened to the Lord's command no matter how hard it was. I cried for about three hours so overwhelmed with the spirit. I was too happy that I texted my best friends, friends, and one of my previous young woman leader from my previous ward. One of my best friends responded, "You have partook of the fruit." I immediately could not stop myself from crying happy tears.

My testimony in the scriptures went from, "I believe..." to "I know.." that the scriptures are true as I read, pondered and prayed about it. This gospel and Scriptures have brought joy to my life and made me grow closer to my Heavenly Father. I encourage you, if you are lacking in scripture readings or would like to read the Book of Mormon, to go for it. In the end, you will be happy and let me tell you this, that bite was the sweetest, most joyous taste I have ever felt.

Love,

Aliana Fisi

Blink Less, Cherish More

Blink less, Cherish More, what in the world do I mean?
Well, do not let the days pass by as you sit and just wait for the next day slothfully enduring nothing, get up and endure, cherish, find something good to do.  It can mean different things to others. Not everyone's brain is thinking the same. In this matter, my perspective, I think as of coming from my thoughts, do not let yourself let things pass by. Take action, do something and take a challenge. Do not let a minute go by, with you sitting down regretting the things you did not take action in.

I have took this time to ask a couple of people, close or not, about this topic, of course with permission to blog their stories and reveal their name, what this short fragment means to them. Their answers seem to connect in different perspectives, you can be able to see it in different ways.

Interesting: I saw this television show that I have been completely obsessed with since episode one, they had an episode recently about the daughter going to a therapist due to previous happenings. Her mothers were invited, and they came to her therapy session. The therapist lays a card, it had a 3 on it. Each person was seated on different sides of this table, and the therapist asked them to share what they see. One said a 3, the other a E, the other a M  and the next a W. This was used to teach that everything is viewed different.

Along with my English teacher, she described how everything is viewed different as well. She explained how everyone has their own lenses for on how they see certain things, what is important to them and what they have.

In a mother perspective Kids grow up, even I cannot believe that I am a sophomore and only have 2 years of high school and I graduate and be lead to greater things. Hearing stories of mothers, who watch their kids grow. It all just comes to growing is greatly faster then you will ever know.

Story number one comes from a lady, I have known for a couple years and her name is Heather. She dealt with my stubborn attitudes and keeps on being there for me to talk to and all. I have asked her, "To you, what does 'Blink Less, Cherish More' mean?" She simply responded, "To cherish life, Love life, and not take life for granted." How amazing is that? I asked her more than that, I asked, "What are you cherishing more now, that was set aside in your 'blink trance'?" She responded, "Spending quality time with my family." I think, in my opinion is a big one for me. I was busy about growing that I just did not pay attention to the fact that I was not paying more attention to what is in front of me, but more of what I want and should not be caring about at the moment. Being interested and wanting to know more, I asked her a personal question that I asked all of my friends that I asked about this wonderful topic and that was, "Do you ever have moments where you think back to a time in your life and wished you cherished more of something then just 'blinking' past through it?" I did not expect anyone to actually be one with me on this question, but she came through. She responded, "I do. That is one reason why I am super close to my family, then when I was not." Thinking about that, I can relate depending on the situations. I can relate with my own family, I tend to like to be in my room and caught up on getting over with the day and wanting to move out, but when I actually see it, I do not want to grow up extremely fast, I want to be little and do things with my family, I want to cherish every moment I absolutely have with them. So, Heather hit a great sport in that perspective of this.

Another person is someone from my school. She is benevolently, amazing and has a kind heart. . I asked her, "To you, what does "Blink Less, Cherish More." mean to you?" She responded, "I guess, I would interpret it blink less as keep your eyes open to the good things in your life. Cherish more as be more grateful and caring for those things." Wow, she brought the main point as gratitude. Not putting 'blink' into a con section but a both way. She is putting it in together, like you can not play one part and not think about the other. It is a two-way street. I asked her, "What do you do now that you cherish more than ever?" She responded, "Let the people you cherish know you appreciate them and the things they do for you, and try to reciprocate their actions towards you." BAM! I mean, She clearly has nailed her perspective of it, adding that you can turn ones action when you let them know how much you are thankful and how much you cherish them. How supportive is Kate Richter? Amazing. With her permission, she let me share this wonderful part to you all.

Last responsive discussion I will share is one of a kind Erica Killian. She is a lovely lady, super nice and I met her on twitter. Due to me living in Alaska, she realized and caught it, letting me know she will be moving to this full of nature, wonderful state. With her happiness and love for challenges, I decided to ask her. I asked her the same question, "To you, what does 'Blink Less, Cherish More' mean?" She responded, "Look at the only big things in life, but also the small things too. Don't miss a second, because you will never get it back. Life is so precious. Nobody knows how long we each have here on earth. Hold on to everything you have and don't regret anything. The world can be so cruel, yet manage to be very beautiful too." How amazing is that? Do not live life with regrets, live it with happiness, emotions, memories. Cherish every second you have, keep your eyes open to the not only the big things, as we are taught to do so, but the small things too. They absolutely matter. I asked her, "What do now cherish more in life?" She responded, "Try to be more positive. Stop worrying about loosing weight, or cleaning your house. There are more things more important then those tiny stressful problems. I now focus more on loving all of the people in my life, no matter what. I am more focused on just being happy. That is all I want in life right now." WOW, was all I could think. Not only did she talk about what she cherish but she also mentioned the fact that everyone is caught up on worrying about appearances and the way society wants you to be more then what you truly want yourself to be. She also taught me to turn negativity to positive. I love being positive and thinking funny and happy thoughts better, it gives me energy and strength. I asked her, "Do you think back to a time where you 'blinked' and wished you cherished a memory then?" She responded, "Yes, definitely. Quite a few times actually. I think back to my High School years where I had no one to talk to. I was alone, I think I wasted most of the times feeling sorry for myself and not just putting myself out there and make a friend. If I could go back and redo it, I really would. Maybe then I wouldn't feel like I do not belong on this earth, you know? I do have those thoughts, but I do have friends I talk to when I have those feelings. I am not alone anymore." Literally, brought me to tears. How she struggled and was caught up in just getting things done and in her 'blink trance' she didn't focus more on making friends she can relate to, she regrets it. She became who she is today because of who she was before. Very inspiring and with her permission also, I was able to share.

How amazing is this, these friends of mine, just very truly inspirational. Everyone has a 'blink trance'. Practice on how to come out of it, how to overcome and change. Cherish more now before it is too late. I do believe you can do it. Blink less, Cherish more. Time is ticking.
XOXO,
Aliana Fisi

p.s to the amazing ladies, thank you for letting me share your thoughtful responses and love. Very inspiring, I absolutely and grateful to have such wonderful people I call my friends in my life. My heart is overwhelmed.

Challenge:

Find something you less cherish before, and start to work on cherishing it now. Whether it is people, goals, etc. Work on it, great benefits will start to expose.

Your Voice

Your Voice

This past week, things went down with the new President being officially in office. With the things he chose to do throughout his time of being President claims to be, making America stronger and GREAT again. I think that is awesome. Everyone has their own opinions. Everyone has their own voice. They may tolerate, they may not. They may support, they may not. Everyone has the courage and heart to protest for what is right, they have the right to vote for who they think is right to be elected. It all comes down on everyone having different opinions.

For example, I tolerate the new president. I really do. I don't have to support all he is doing. I tolerate that he is our president. Either way there is nothing I can do, but hope for the best and have a voice of encouragement with the women out marching. Praying for their safety, fun, and that they are hydrated through this long march of protesting for rights. I am not judging no one. I am not judging who ever voted who or who. I am not judging. We are all humans, we are all sons and daughters of God. For one, we all just have different opinions and minds.

Having your own voice being said, really CAN make a difference. Those women out there protesting for the health and protesting for their rights, are changing others lives. Changing it as it goes worldwide. Those who attended or in support of the president are changing others lives as well. Sharing encouragement to all that he keeps his word and that what he is doing is right. I am not saying who is right and wrong. I am saying that with all this, there is no need to JUDGE others for their own opinions. I see that now. Now as our world changes. Everyone is growing up, kids are learning new things, ears are opened to our surroundings. THE WORLD IS CHANGING, whether anyone likes it or not. It is normal.

Speak your voice, be heard. You deserve that. You are important in this world, you matter. Your thoughts, and words count. Your acts of kindness counts. Everything you do, will make a difference. Always remember, everyone has their own OPINIONS. Everyone has a VOICE. Everyone can make a DIFFERENCE!

XOXO,
Aliana Fisi

Your Lenses

Your Lenses

Your lenses are based on what you see, what is important and who you are. What you give to the world to influence, what you do with to overcome the challenges society throws at our faces, and most of all how you use it to influence everyone around you. Your lenses are, what you are in your perspective, and what the world sees you've shared. Lenses are what helps you see the world clearer, what you put on to clear up your vision. Without them, our vision is blurry. with them on, we can see and conquer. Our lenses help us see the purity of the world, see the greatness in life, see the choices and actions we do, see the consequences whether they are bad or good. They help us see the world, and help us conquer.

My lenses consist of many. Many lenses, many views and many ways to influence. One of my lenses are religion, I get prejudged because of my religion. I get sayings that, I cant date til I am 16 and how much it sucks, it doesn't. I get sayings that I am Holy Holy and if I am touched by a sinner they will burn in my presence. All of these are completely stereotypes people use to get at people and gain others to follow through. In reality, it is only hurting and manipulating others deeply. For me, I don't care what others say but I am happy that I am a Mormon no matter what others say. I have been getting myself to overcome more and more as I grow, overcoming the negativity towards it and telling myself more of the fact that I am a daughter of God no matter what, he loves me and all of you unconditionally. He adores everything we strive our hardest in good, he forgives when we ask when we make mistakes. He knows all and knows our plan, he wants us to live and do as much. According to myself, without my religion, I wouldn't have standards set or wouldn't have the mind set to make goals and have my standard walls built high enough and my foundation strong enough so that nothing may tremble me. Nothing but the warm feeling in my heart, when I do good in the world.

Another lens is, Family. Being blessed with such amazing family and love from them and
others makes my heart warm. It sets great examples, not to just me but to my siblings and all. It gives off that RIPPLE effect. I have became the positive, loving person I am today because of my family, because of my leaders, teachers, friends, people I look up to and more. I consider all that under family. They shown me the love and good in the world, turning negativity into positive. Looking more and more, I finally know many ways to obtain the ability to share the ripple effect. It was this blog. A blog where I can share all these, a blog where I can share how amazing and inspired I am in my life.

Last lens for here, my personality. This is very important to me because, I take my personality very serious like it is gold. It is to me. Who I am, is what is dear to me. I don't have to be anyone else, or be normal, or be quiet. I can be the weird, outgoing, musical, loving, positive person I am without any shame. Without having to deal with what others think. Who I am, is what I became and yet to become. Who I am is what I do, and yet to do. This is all because, I am experiencing and conquering things on my own or because I am being inspired by those I dearly look up to.

Lenses are you. Lenses are what you keep dear, what is everything to you. Ever wonder how others see the world differently? It is because we all wear different ones, we may have similarities but that is normal. Take it as seeing through the eye glasses. Putting your own on, makes it clear for you vision. Putting someone else lenses on, makes it harder for your vision to identify the image. Everyone sees everything differently. That is the point, others have different lenses may be similar but everyone has different personality and interests. Still, we are all humans, we are all breathing and can act as one. Just keep in mind, we are all different in many ways, there is nothing bad, or wrong about it. You are you. I am me. He is he. she is she. They are them. We are we. We all have different lenses, take a look and see.

This is all inspired by my English teacher Mrs.Reed.

Love,
Aliana Fisi

I can do all things, through him who gives me strength.

CHALLENGE:

Identify your lenses, see what is important to you. What have you been prejudged on? How can you influence others with that? How did you become you? Think, jot, share if liked to. XOXO!

New Year, New Start

New Year, New Start

December 31st, we did reviews of 2016. How great memories were created. Along with that, we enjoyed ourselves with some S'mores and a dance party. Every hour we would light up a firework. Playing music and enjoying our time together for the last day of 2016. We had a blast making laughs and taking photos for memories.

10:00 pm, phones were dying, people frost forming, temperatures dropping, and sparklers were lit. waving around these wonderful sparklers, we took many photos and enjoyed more dancing and music.

11;00 pm, we were inside having a snack to eat and warming up before bringing in the new years. We went on our phones and took more selfies, we charged them of course for the amazing fireworks and making more memories.

11:45 pm, we lit the smoke grenades outside while we were shaking in freezing air. It was pretty terrible of a weather but it was better than raining or a snow storm so we were very greatful.

11:50 pm, we finished the fireworks for our early celebration. We are a big mormon family, New Years was on a sunday so we had to finish the fireworks early. Screaming in celebration after it was done, we headed inside getting out blue solo cups of Welch's cider to cheers and drinks to the new year. We sat waiting for the countdown to begin so we can join in.

Heading out for the HOLIDAYS

ON MY WAY OUT

I am taking a trip to the Kingdom of Tonga. We are going for a Fisi Family Reunion. I am over excited and blessed to be able to meet other and enjoy the richness of HOME. Be able to experience the culture and meet family I have never met before. I get to be with cousins that I message on Facebook, Aunties I have seen photos of and see my mothers side of the family who I haven't met or heard of, just photos. It is a joy to take this opportunity while I am still a youth to experience and share or take in and teach my children in the future. Their Polynesian roots.

I hear stories on how fun it is there, I can't wait to experience that fun and b able to record and share on here my Vlogg of my vacation. From entering my city Airport to many others to Tonga and the days I am there. I won't be posting most often, but once I am back in Alaska, bet I will!

I know that the Lord wants this for me. He wants me to connect with them. He wants me to experience where my roost lie. He wants me to experience the love that surrounds the Island and I am blessed to be able to go. With my parents who paid for me to go, I cannot say in words how grateful I am for them. How much they put in on this trip. The lord has blessed me dearly, and I can clearly say I am thankful.

Taking this flight, my prayers are that we get there safely and calmly. We get there and have fun. We get there and explore the new things, explore the changes, the kids, the ocean and the love. We will be heading out tonight.

" I can do all things,
Through him who gives
me STRENGTH."

EXPLORE! EXPERIENCE! HAVE FUN! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Spiritual Thought

 s

Spiritual Thought

Today, I had such an amazing day. I thank the Lord for blessing me with such wonderful people in the world to make me happy and have that ripple effect. My day started off with waking up in the morning having a good rest last night. Waking up with a smile, then regular routine with the brush teeth/hair, make-up, outfit, and ya da ya da yee. I have bible classes in  the morning, so wake up time for me is 5 a.m and bible class starts at 6 a.m. No, sometimes it does not take me hours to get ready. Sometimes, my day is just needs an extra boost to it. I looked through my photos, and found a photo I thought I'd love to post on Instagram along with some wise and thoughtful words  I was thinking about. Well, I placed the photo in an amazing app called InShot  to fix it so it would match my theme. After doing that, I needed to word my thoughts shortly, but figured  I couldn't. I was in a great mood it had to be shared. What I wrote as the caption was:

I can do all things, through him who gives me strength.
Through my savior who gave me the opportunity to be able to
correct and repent for the sins
i have made.
To my goodly parents, who love the lord.
To my teachers, who teach me and strengthen my faith.
I wake up every morning sacrificing my time for Seminary
(Bible Class) every morning, I never regret going.
It lets me feel the spirit and hold it throughout the day being able
to share my love and help and be like Jesus. So yes, Heavenly Father has blessed me deeply
I  know he does to you everyday.
I can do all things, through him who gives me strength.

I really loved the fact that I felt this way today. I had a good day and I prayed that everyone has a good day, any day, anywhere and any time. I know that it is hard sometimes, never loose your grit. Your stamina. Your standards. You. Never loose you.

I have a motto in my life to get me through, I encourage you all get one. Mine is from my faith, that grows within and will continue to grow as I strengthen it taking responsibility to use the resources the gospel has given me.

I know I have been barely blogging lately. I had a birthday last weekend, thank you for the birthday wishes and emails. Appreciated it! Along with a special little girl Riley Vilasuso who had a birthday! so honored to be sharing a birthday week. I will post once a week, hopefully. I am taking a trip to Tonga December 7th and I dont know if I will have internet, but I will have LOTS of photos to make up for it.

Challenge:

I challenge each and everyone of you to match out your standards. Find your goals, seek your plan out for your goals, no matter how far away the future is.

CHILD CANCER AWARENESS:

We  are doing a project, to make children and adults diagnosed with cancer smile. We are seeking to find others to join along. Each week there will be a theme of a Disney Princess. This week is Pocahontas. Colors of the wind will give them hope that there is more to it then seen. Send it to my email @afisi11212000@gmail.com and I will take it from there along with my partner in this. It doesn't matter solo, group, family, accapella, background music. It does not matter. Please share on social media and use the hashtag #ChildCancerAwareness2k16 the year is almost over. Here is your opportunity.

Much love,
Aliana Fisi

Music

Music

This topic is near and dear to my heart. The fact that we have music in our lives, is completely amazing. I enjoy music a lot. All types as well. It is amazing how much music can mean to someones life. I know that for me, music has impacted greatly. It helped me with math, dealing with numbers and beats, I was able to pass Algebra thinking like music and passing with a high score on my finals. It has helped me developed my confidence in being more social and being myself.

I grew up with music, I sang a lot, my siblings sing, my parents sing and we do not EVER go on a car ride and not listen to music. We have a great passion with music. Even in church, my favorite parts were singing the hymns they had us sing, or in primary programs where we had to sing primary songs. It is just a joy to have music

As I began to grow older, I began to sing and sing. I joined choir in elementary school, I enjoyed it and began to continue it. After elementary, I selected to join middle school choir, more specific, Hanshew Middle School choir and began to love choir more and developed my singing skills. Mrs. McCubrey has taught me a lot and never gave up on me. From then, I decided to take every solo opportunity I can to be able to share my voice, from the classroom to singing in front of two judges that will help me enhance my singing skills.

After middle school, I started Service High School choir. I auditioned 8th grade year to be in the more advanced choirs, Treble or Concert choir and passed excitedly. When it came to the first day of school, what had shown on my schedule was, Mixed Choir which is like a learning choir. I was a little upset but hey, I still got to be in choir. I took all the solo opportunity along with All-State auditioned and solo ensemble. I didn't make All-State but I did have a pretty good score either way. Solo Ensemble, I didn't make it fully but I was only one score away. I nailed a solo in one of our pieces, All of me by John Legend singing the second part of the first verse. Now, I'm dealing with the same schedule situation. I am in Mixed choir and I'm still happy either way. I get to learn music, sing, perform, and still take opportunities. Either way, It makes me very happy.

CHALLENGES:

I encourage you all to control what types of music your ears listen to. Value the music given to you, use your agency to decide whether you want to or should or don't want to and shouldn't.

30 DAYS OF THANKS:

day 16: I am very thankful for music. Music that gets me in a mood. Soothes, exciting, dancy, and into holiday moods.

( the rest of my challenge is on Instagram or Twitter.)

Hope you have an amazing evening.

Memories

Holding Memories

Holding memories is a big thing in my life. I love holding many memories in my heart. When I sit down and just have random thoughts, it always leads to memories. From funny memories to fun outgoing memories. It makes my heart melt when I feel and see the memories ready. I always have these dreams where I always think of it all. I always call it memory lane or the house that holds treasures. Placing the sad, embarrassing, funny, outstanding, loving etc.

There are always times when I refer back to it, like there is a certain song "Me and you" by G-Eazy and every time we hear that song, it reminds us of when we took a family trip to Hawaii for my grandma grave stone ceremony. The reason why this happens, in Hawaii, that song would constantly play and we didn't mind, we just danced in our seats while driving back ot the hotel or at the super market. There are memories where when I was little, I would always play monster with my Big Brother Abraham and my sister and I were on the stairs and she screamed, " There is a monster coming!" We both jumped off the stairs and I landed correctly. She however: face planted on to the ground. Oh boy, my older brother and I couldn't stop laughing even though she was so mad and hurt. It was a great laugh.

Every once in a while when we are together as a family, we always bring up memories and enjoy it deeply. It is amazing, and I can't believe that we make memories everyday. Make memories, whatever mood you are in, you will always smile after you think about them.

CHALLENGE:

I challenge you all to record or keep track of your memories whether technology or a scrapbook. Refer to it once in a while or everyday, no matter what emotion.

30 DAYS OF THANKS:

day 11:

I am thankful for families. I am thankful to be able to make precious memories with them no matter what.

Enjoy life to the fullest,

much love,

Food

I kid you not how much I completely love this topic. Completely everything right now. In America, we eat food processed and taken to the store, where we buy and eat the product. Its amazingly easy for us, but we never know where our food actually came from. Like the bananas in the stores are from Ecuador. Think of it, our food is from out of the country, we barely show thanks and gratitude for all the work they've done to feed us.

It is more frightening what is actually in our foods. SPAM for example, is great, but what makes spam is completely not what you would have expected. This won't occur only in foods, it also occurs in delicious candies we love to eat. If you actually stop and take a look, you will be amazed and grateful that you did. I'm slightly allergic to gluten, gives me dry, itchy. bumpy skin. I completely hate it, but it is completely delicious.

Enough about my problems, but when you actually look at it, you will be amazed. It is Thanksgiving month, and be grateful for the rich blessings and hard working people in this world to process food to your country or the people who work hard to feed you.

CHALLENGE:

I challenge you all to admire your food. Admire where it has came from, be grateful for the hard work placed in to get the food in front of you or in your mouth.

30 DAYS OF THANKS:
day 10:
I am completely grateful for the blessings I have received.Whether it was through someone or from our Heavenly Father. I am grateful for the blessings he has granted upon my family, neighbors, friends, teachers, city, state, and country even though its completely out of hand, I pray he will bless us all through these difficult times of change.

I know my blog is short today, just a  tired and rough day. Hope you all have a wonderful rest of the day.

Love,
Aliana Fisi

2016 Elections

Election

The fact that we have the freedom to vote, have our opinions and support is amazing. The fact that we get to be able to love and be as one is beyond phenomenal. The fact that the hatred has come upon our nation, is tremendously terrible. It doesn't matter who won and who didn't won. What matters is that through the thick and thins, we will support and help each other out. I can honestly say is that I was trying my very best today to stay away from any social media. I tried my very hardest in school to keep my head up and be able to get through with the school hours learning in each class. It was a big challenge. Everywhere I went, I heard hatred and criticism. Every thing that I saw when deciding to come on for a little bit, was full of hatred and threat. The only thing running through my head is, it's not who was elected that is hurting this. It's those who are choosing to criticize and hate and threat others. Its good to protest honestly, it is. Protesting so your voice is heard, but burning down and fighting isn't the answer  it all. It breaks us as a nation. I hope everyone sees that they are wrong. No matter who wins we can make a difference and disagree. We have the right to vote, in the end results, we need to just go through and do all we can to keep peace in our hearts.

I've been saying my prayers in this election, I've prayed that whoever wins will make a change and seek for our future. Bringing us together as a nation. That's all I want, to be able to protect and give helping hands throughout the world. Please love, not hate. Keep God in your hearts and pray. Just continue throughout life. Just know, you have a voice and the rights as a citizen.

CHALLENGE:

Show love and be kind. Share positivism to all. The negativity can't overpower this world. We can make a difference. Keep God in your hearts and pray. With all that is currently happening, our safety is whats in my mind. Share a smile. Stop the hate.

30 DAY OF THANKS:

Day 9: I am thankful that we have a voice. we have agency. agency to choose the right choices and spread positive throughout the world to overpower the negativity this world faces.

Hope that change with this cruel act changes soon.

love,

Aliana Fisi

Love (w/ challenge + 30 day of thanks)

                              Love

Showing love is like showing compassion to someone, taking interest, or being there for them, etc. It's showed in many ways, through help, and all sorts. You feel it everyday.

Through compassion, it's taking action instead of just feeling pity for them. It is easy to say, "I feel so bad for them." And it is easy to say and do.  Many people just say their pity but not take action. That's the problem with society. We say, but we don't do.

I always said, I will share my voice, but I never really came up with anything to accomplish that until I created this blog. To be able to be heard, to share, to help others understand. I may be a young one, but I have so much in my heart. I have so much to share and so much to take in. I'm here to be able to listen to you all, to soak in and learn, apply it to my life, then share throughout how it has blessed my life. It's good to engage, then to sit and say.

Challenge:
I encourage you all to get up and do something for others. Get up and show compassion whether is abroad or just cleaning the dishes. I encourage you to show love to someone.

30 day of thanks:

So, it's thanksgiving month and we are told to share gratitude everyday. I thought I'd take action in this challenge.

I've completed the other days on my other social media sites.

Day 6:

I am absolutely grateful for my family and everything they do to me. I am great full for all the opportunities I get to be able to take responsibilities in babysitting or cooking. Just being around and learning more everyday from thme is a total blessing along with the unconditional love they give me. Along with the gospel. I'm grateful that they are members if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and that they raised us in this glorious gospel where we can someday marry and be sealed to our family for all time and eternity.

Well, it's been well everyone. Take on the challenge with me.
Love,
ALIANA FISI ♡

October 18, 2016

The fact that it's a tuesday, not bad. It has been a great day, mellow and exciting. Today I only went to two periods then I had to head over to the O'Malley church across the street from Robert Service High School for a program we do for the freshmen class called Change of Heart. So we are able to help them realize that they can make a difference in school, or anywhere they go. Mainly standing up to each other, or fixing problems they are facing with. Just little concepts to change their state of mind and behavior.

I was a Trainor or a mentor. Since I'm a sophmore, upper class men are trainers teaching the freshmen class. They've only been in school for about almost two months so it's good to start now. It was fun. I was able to interact with them one on one in small group discussion and see what they think about Service and how do they feel being a student of Service High. It was fun to be able to see them interact and grow as a group together just in one day. Less then 24 hours. It was amazing and I absolutely am proud of them.

What I have learned from this is, you can be a leader. You can teach someone something or step out of your comfort zone and be able to socialize. It may be uncomfortable, but it's not difficult. What I was told multiple times is, "if you put your mind to it, you can do most anything through god who gives me strength." With that quote in my life, it made me realize what I have and what I can do. If I put my mind to something, I can achieve it. With God giving me strength and helping me get through the hard times I can achieve. I can become what or who I want to be. I can be able to do much if I put my faith and mind to it. It is achieveable.

You can definitely do things, change things, and have your voice heard. Just think, feel, get up, and DO!

Service

So, as it has been said many times In my life, Service is my love language. I absolutely agree strongely. I honestly love to help everyone, and in many ways that o can possibly do. For a simple help, I just give a smile and say hello. For a big help, I donate clothing or join a walk for a foundation. I completely love service.

Service is everything to me. My actions, and the school I attend is called Service High School. Just being able to share my love and show my love in many ways is incredible.

The service I have done in my kife, is a long list. One important one to me was wrapping office boxes to be used as present boxes for children and patients in the hospital over the holidays. I attended an l attended and we were able to finish 250 boxes. I absolutely plan on attending this year's as well. The fact that I was able to give my time to let those in the hospital know that I absolutely care about them. What makes me happy is that with every box I wrapped, I'm letting myself know that this is what I'm suppose to do. This is what my father in heaven wants Me to do. To share my love and my kind heart with others, to set examples and to be myself, follow my standards and love my neighbors.

Importance of  Your Goal

Goals are plans you think about in the future. I'm not talking, sports goals. (although their the same) I'm talking about life goals, future plans. The fact everyone has a future, is fabulous. Everyone should have a goal to set their mind to. Have a path to follow with much joy and trials along the way. The goals set ahead is what will get others motivated when seeking for motivation, gives others hope, love, and happiness. The fact goals help boost you up, makes you stronger and tends to let you get up again when failing trying the first time. Everyone has a goal in life, whether its continue school, work, own a business, find a love, and make a family. No matter what the goal in your mind is, the fact you live up to and do as much as possible to achieve the goal.

My Goal

As a child, I had goals that make up all of Santa Clauses naughty, nice, and wishlist. I had my mind set to many, from being an artist, singer, dancer, actress, etc. I had many goals that I would always tell myself I will certainly do. It wasn't until middle school I knew exactly what subject I wanted my mind set to, Medical. I started to explore and watch medical related shows. My decision started to bundle up slowly. In 7th grade, my science class was told that the next day, we will be dissecting a frog. After all preparations and all the studies, I was finally able to realize that I can do it. Medical is complicated in ways that will take much learning to do. The next day had arrived and instantly I got very excited to go to Science class. Once entering the room, slipping on all the materials needed to guard your body from any contact with anything dangerous or hazardous. My excitement grew as we were placed in groups, I had two girls in my group which I knew would do absolutely amazing. AS the frog was placed on the tray, I began to examine it's tissue. I started to notice that his tissues were fighters and technically wasn't healthy. Helped me realize that I had an old aged frog, who was PREGNANT! It was slicing time and we were able to slice the frog open. Detecting the immune system and being able to identify and learn  other organs in the frog. Of course, while the girls were freaking out about the frog and the odor, I myself, took control in the lab and was told I will become a surgeon one day. I had no idea what a surgeon was fully. I sat down once heading home and did many research on what a surgeon does. After reading it up, it was official. I wanted to be a surgeon. I began walking around the rest of the year telling everyone, I want to be surgeon. It didn't hit me (not literally), that there was more surgeons. Didn't know there was more than one.

No being 15, I tend to tell myself to stick to my goals, it's no use. When the mind is set to do inredible things, it does it. Never let others interrupt. Never let your guard down, especially teens. Look all around, acknowledge, and have courage.

Sincerely,
Aliana Fisi

First Day of School

August 22, 2016
At exactly, 7:15 a.m School began for the teens, pre-teens, and children of Anchorage, Alaska. The excitement and joy was indescribable. The fact school was starting made, new comer 7th graders anxious, and new comer Freshmen's a bit out of control. The fact for myself, Aliana Fisi returning to High School for my Sophomore year. With everyone's mind still drowned in a glass of summer orange juice, we tried our hardest to put some excitement in it all at least. Not much was to be excited about but much was to be learned throughout the year. The complaints constantly said around the school will tend to put students down, but the reason for going to school is being able to learn about education. Sharing your skills, being able to meet new people, make goals and work our clothed behinds to achieve it.

As the years go by, some of the students tend to loose their selves with  temptations and wrong doings of others. In school, for me actually, I set my goal in June, then evaluated on it with my newly schedule now. Some of the goals were;
1. Keep high standards
2. Confidence
3. Share examples
4. Focus on school work and not surroundings (unless help needed)
5. Try to avoid being in cliques or in groups that won't encourage you to try your best
6. Take all opportunities!

Those goals tend to have a lot of value. There's never a time where I do not set goal about myself. Setting goals for myself lets me know that I have a crown I want to achieve, also motivates me to work harder in all my classes. The school year is where everyone tends to have their goals set, then as the school year trails along, the goal setting starts to suffer into the muds of the unthinkable. The unthinkable is where teens tend to store mind setting thoughts into, like garbage. It's a garbage for "rubish" thoughts.

If your mind is set to good things, you are doing as much as you could to achieve it, do not stop. If your mind isn't, really think about it. You will never know what wonders it can bring to your life. This school year will go by great, just put your mind to it, and really think about the why you are really going to school and how it can help you in the near future.

With great remarks,
      Aliana Fisi
