Music
This topic is near and dear to my heart. The fact that we have music in our lives, is completely amazing. I enjoy music a lot. All types as well. It is amazing how much music can mean to someones life. I know that for me, music has impacted greatly. It helped me with math, dealing with numbers and beats, I was able to pass Algebra thinking like music and passing with a high score on my finals. It has helped me developed my confidence in being more social and being myself.
I grew up with music, I sang a lot, my siblings sing, my parents sing and we do not EVER go on a car ride and not listen to music. We have a great passion with music. Even in church, my favorite parts were singing the hymns they had us sing, or in primary programs where we had to sing primary songs. It is just a joy to have music
As I began to grow older, I began to sing and sing. I joined choir in elementary school, I enjoyed it and began to continue it. After elementary, I selected to join middle school choir, more specific, Hanshew Middle School choir and began to love choir more and developed my singing skills. Mrs. McCubrey has taught me a lot and never gave up on me. From then, I decided to take every solo opportunity I can to be able to share my voice, from the classroom to singing in front of two judges that will help me enhance my singing skills.
After middle school, I started Service High School choir. I auditioned 8th grade year to be in the more advanced choirs, Treble or Concert choir and passed excitedly. When it came to the first day of school, what had shown on my schedule was, Mixed Choir which is like a learning choir. I was a little upset but hey, I still got to be in choir. I took all the solo opportunity along with All-State auditioned and solo ensemble. I didn't make All-State but I did have a pretty good score either way. Solo Ensemble, I didn't make it fully but I was only one score away. I nailed a solo in one of our pieces, All of me by John Legend singing the second part of the first verse. Now, I'm dealing with the same schedule situation. I am in Mixed choir and I'm still happy either way. I get to learn music, sing, perform, and still take opportunities. Either way, It makes me very happy.
CHALLENGES:
I encourage you all to control what types of music your ears listen to. Value the music given to you, use your agency to decide whether you want to or should or don't want to and shouldn't.
30 DAYS OF THANKS:
