October 18, 2016

The fact that it's a tuesday, not bad. It has been a great day, mellow and exciting. Today I only went to two periods then I had to head over to the O'Malley church across the street from Robert Service High School for a program we do for the freshmen class called Change of Heart. So we are able to help them realize that they can make a difference in school, or anywhere they go. Mainly standing up to each other, or fixing problems they are facing with. Just little concepts to change their state of mind and behavior.

I was a Trainor or a mentor. Since I'm a sophmore, upper class men are trainers teaching the freshmen class. They've only been in school for about almost two months so it's good to start now. It was fun. I was able to interact with them one on one in small group discussion and see what they think about Service and how do they feel being a student of Service High. It was fun to be able to see them interact and grow as a group together just in one day. Less then 24 hours. It was amazing and I absolutely am proud of them.

What I have learned from this is, you can be a leader. You can teach someone something or step out of your comfort zone and be able to socialize. It may be uncomfortable, but it's not difficult. What I was told multiple times is, "if you put your mind to it, you can do most anything through god who gives me strength." With that quote in my life, it made me realize what I have and what I can do. If I put my mind to something, I can achieve it. With God giving me strength and helping me get through the hard times I can achieve. I can become what or who I want to be. I can be able to do much if I put my faith and mind to it. It is achieveable.

You can definitely do things, change things, and have your voice heard. Just think, feel, get up, and DO!

Service

So, as it has been said many times In my life, Service is my love language. I absolutely agree strongely. I honestly love to help everyone, and in many ways that o can possibly do. For a simple help, I just give a smile and say hello. For a big help, I donate clothing or join a walk for a foundation. I completely love service.

Service is everything to me. My actions, and the school I attend is called Service High School. Just being able to share my love and show my love in many ways is incredible.

The service I have done in my kife, is a long list. One important one to me was wrapping office boxes to be used as present boxes for children and patients in the hospital over the holidays. I attended an l attended and we were able to finish 250 boxes. I absolutely plan on attending this year's as well. The fact that I was able to give my time to let those in the hospital know that I absolutely care about them. What makes me happy is that with every box I wrapped, I'm letting myself know that this is what I'm suppose to do. This is what my father in heaven wants Me to do. To share my love and my kind heart with others, to set examples and to be myself, follow my standards and love my neighbors.
